The EmVision Capital Advisors team supported local resilient youth by recently attending the Believe in Dreams annual event, A Night of Dreams, at Sapphire Creek Winery and Gardens in Chagrin Falls.

A Night of Dreams

“A Night of Dreams is an annual fundraising event filled with delicious cuisine, cocktails, music, live and silent auctions, and more,” said Michelle Wohlfeiler Bailin, development and marketing director, Believe in Dreams. “The goal of this event is to increase awareness about Believe in Dreams and raise funds for the organization’s mission.”

Believe in Dreams is a local nonprofit organization with the mission to fulfill dreams of youth who are economically disadvantaged and have survived non-medical adversity by providing access to enriching opportunities, connection to community and hope for the future.

“We’ve been attending A Night of Dreams since it began in 2019,” said Michael Embrescia, wealth advisor, president, CEO, EmVision Capital Advisors. “We’re honored to be a partner of this organization and truly support its purpose--to help grant dreams for youth who have faced traumatic, non-medical events, giving them access to enriching opportunities, connection to their communities, and hope for their futures.”

This year’s event raised $260,000, which was $3,000 above the goal. This will help the organization grant dreams to local youth.

The Believe in Dreams Story

Believe in Dreams was founded in 2014 by Cleveland entrepreneur John DiJulius III and his son Cal. John rose from humble beginnings to successful entrepreneurship with the love and support of his family and community. They instilled in him a drive to believe in himself and make a difference in the world. In 2009, John tragically lost his wife and the mother of his three sons, Stacy. In the years that followed, their middle son, Cal, became acutely aware that the support and opportunities for healing and hope he experienced were very different than for children who go through such hardships without an abundance of resources and support.

From his own life, John knew how poverty and adverse experiences left children with little hope or belief that their dreams were attainable. He understood the value that the power of opportunity – and others believing in him – had on him when he was young, and on his children after their mother passed. He recognized how this, coupled with resilience and hard work towards personal goals, could alter a person’s life path.

From this vision, Believe in Dreams was born. Believe in Dreams has fulfilled over 500 individualized local dream experiences since 2014, and continues to increase its impact each year.

You can help Believe in Dreams fulfill dreams for local youth by donating, supporting, and/or volunteering.

• Provide a dream experience through the Believe in Dreams Booster.
• Support a specific child’s dream through Direct to Dream.
• Be a dream granter and give tickets, services, or a shadowing experience through your local business or organization.
• Help with general program costs by providing a donation.
• Support and/or volunteer at events.
