We’re pleased to share some exciting news: CityWire, a leading source of financial and investment news both in the U.S. and internationally, recently published a feature about EmVision Capital Advisors and our next chapter as an independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).
In the article, “10-advisor Commonwealth team files to set up Ohio RIA,” CityWire explains how we intend to be multi-custodial, keeping relationships with Commonwealth/LPL Financial.
The coverage reflects not just what we are doing, but why we’re doing it: how the shift to the RIA model gives us new flexibility to deliver better solutions—more investment platform options, transparent pricing, and advanced planning tools—all without sacrificing the personal touch of a boutique advisory firm.
CityWire is widely respected in the finance industry for its depth of reporting, its focus on accountability, and its influence among financial professionals. Coverage from CityWire isn’t just news, it signals that our firm is doing something significant, something others in the industry are paying attention to. We are honored that CityWire chose to write about EmVision, recognizing both our past work and the direction we’re headed.

As of October 1, 2025, EmVision Capital Advisors officially began operating as an independent RIA. While this represents an important milestone, it’s equally important to note what isn’t changing:
Same team, same service. You’ll continue working with the same advisors, on the same accounts, with the same personalized guidance you’ve always trusted.
Even greater independence. EmVision remains independently owned by our leadership team. We have not sold our firm. This transition simply strengthens our ability to focus 100% on your best interests while still partnering with Commonwealth/LPL Financial for scale and resources.
Simple step for some clients. If you hold an AssetMark account, you’ll receive a short form to sign confirming that your account is now affiliated with our RIA instead of Commonwealth. Your investments won’t change, and everything else will remain seamless.
At the end of the day, our team, our approach, and our client-first commitment remain exactly the same.
“We are grateful to CityWire for recognizing this exciting milestone. Becoming an RIA isn’t just about independence; it’s about expanding what we can offer our clients while keeping their best interests at the heart of everything we do. This move allows us to combine the resources of major custodians with the personal touch of a boutique firm. For our clients, that means more choice, more transparency, and more confidence in their financial future,” said Michael Embrescia, President and CEO, EmVision Capital Advisors.
This transition also positions us for the future. Since 2017, EmVision has welcomed seven advisory practices through mergers and acquisitions, and we remain committed to thoughtful growth. Becoming an RIA gives us the independence and flexibility to continue expanding while staying true to our boutique, client-first culture.
We’ll keep you informed every step of the way. In the meantime, please be assured that this change is designed to give you more, not something different. Your trust means everything to us, and we’re excited to step into this new chapter with you. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
